I think I put it in an essay that while we live by Jefferson’s words, we live in Hamilton’s America economic wise. Jefferson’s dream of the nation of small farmers really never was or at least has not been since the Industrial Revolution took off following the Civil War. Hamilton saw the future of the country was in tis cities.
