That’s great, Steve. A few dozen years ago, me and some friends spent a week in Puerto Penasco, Mexico, filming underwater footage for an indie flick in cutting edge 35mm and all we got was murk.
Yea, they had just treated the quarry with something. It had been 15-20 foot visibility most of the summer, and Saturday it was easily 70+ feet. Very warm above 25 feet, very comfortable down around 50, and really cold (45 degrees or so) at 100 feet. I was in a 5mm wetsuit with hood and gloves and was really over-heated above 20 feet. Good time was had by all however.
