If so, you must be in strong opposition to the current military industrial complex if you object to such spending? How is Halliburton any different than private insurers providing government regulated health care plans?

FWIW, the model for the plan on the table is the German one which also relies on private insurance companies providing regulated health insurance products. They are much more tightly regulated than anything that’s been proposed here though.
