For a long time, I used to think of the wingnuts living in an alternate reality as a bit of a joke. Katrina Pierson and her ilk are proving that it’s no laughing matter - they do indeed inhabit an alternate reality, one that bears no semblance whatsoever to objective reality.

It’s quite fascinating from a psychological point of view: It’s analogous to observing a religious cult.

I would argue that the GOP is a religious cult.
