All the white beating real victims back into the shadows. We’re already seeing this whole thing leveraged to treat any and all people who come forward about rape and sexual assault as the real perpetrators and casting a genuine witch hunt against them. And Kavanaugh’s successful confirmation and the GOP’s general successes will only further embolden those who have a vested interest in treating false rape accusations as the super epidemic they treat it as.

Real victims are getting victimized twice, and there seems to be no recourse against it now.

I think that’s why I’m so angry. Am I angry about the decisions he will make on SCOTUS? Of course. But most of all that it’s another chapter of “Let’s not believe the woman because her accused is someone we like.” All that talk about how great a guy Kavanaugh is bullshit. Oh I’m sure he’s lovely if you’re a GOP partisan who only cares about GOP partisanship but to the rest of us, fuck that guy.
