Agreed, and I still like to think we are talking about the exceptions here. The need among 14 and below is fairly rare, even more rare the kids who know enough to find the drugs and use them in the short timeframe. I really question how many kids could read and use the drugs as directed, let alone understand the data sheets and exercise informed consent. If they don’t have an adult helping them, this isn’t going to work very often.
The consent issue is another whole bundle of wax, agreed. And it is probably exceptional (especially since I think Plan B is rx-only in most states) but it connects to a lot of other things— like a 14 year old seeking an actual abortion, seeking out birth control, etc.
