Well, the weapon in question seems to be a machine gun … those are heavily regulated. Probably one of the first questions for police is how the shooter got his hands on one.

While it’s possible it was a legally-owned machine gun, that doesn’t seem to be terribly likely to me (for whatever my opinion is worth).

Living in a world where the only guns I have ever seen are worn by the police (& prior to the 1980s most police were unarmed) I have no idea about the various types of weapons. I am simply very thankful that gun deaths in my part of the world are few. One massacre - 1996 (I think) and a RW government said “no more”

Some idjits are trying to bring them back - with little success at the minute.
