What I dislike the most about the Bernie-or-Busters is their Purity Pony politics, in which unless the candidate isn’t absolutely ideologically pure, they must be rejected. I prefer pragmatism — but I’d also like to swing the Overton Window as far as we can to the left. The key point being how far can we successfully push things to the left — I have a wishlist a mile long, but if I can get half of that wishlist done, that’s still a success.

Opposing a candidate solely because she’s a Bernie ally is Purity Pony politics, too.
