If McCain had picked Romney instead of Palin, I think the election would have been a hell of a lot closer at the very least.

Hell, if McCain hadn’t been victimized by the Karl Rove whispering campaign in 2000, and made the political decision to embrace the SoCons in subsequent years, I think that things would have turned out a hell of a lot better than they did with GWB’s terms.
