No it doesn’t. It mathematically demonstrates that 50 times as much ice will have to melt in the next century as in the last in order for a sea level rise to go from 8 inches to 10 meters. Which translates into a 50 fold increase in melt rate, which is utterly beyond the rational pale.

Sal you got it through simple division of endpoints. That means you are plotting on a straight line and that means a constant melt rate.

So yes 50x ice would melt that part is true, but your assertion that it is wrong is based on the same faulty mathematical assumptions that your experiment was. And also this is a different claim than the one in your experiment in any case, though it uses the same wrong math.

There is the explanation of why your math does not apply. There is your explanation of why I keep saying that the response is not linear. This is super basic math. Can you acknowledge that or not?
