OK this is getting stupid. I have explained really patiently what you are doing wrong here and you just refuse to even look at it. I don’t know how to make the fact that you are using an algebra one linear analysis (without even realizing that the math you are using implies a constant rate) to a problem that is non-linear in both senses of the word.

OK, real simple - your math assumes a constant melt rate. The melt rate is not constant.

Please try to understand that point.
