Think the high water mark for gun control in this country was in the immediate wake of Columbine with the Assault Weapons Ban. Since it’s passage, the NRA’s puppet politicians have scared federal agencies into silence about gun violence, have handicapped the gun control laws already in force, and have spread misinformation about how such laws are “ineffective” and that Americans need even more guns to protect them from all the guns that are floating around out there.
