Our yokel TV station was doing “man on the street” interviews during the Hart “Monkey Business” kerfuffle. They asked one elderly gent if he thought the scandal disqualified Hart from the Presidency. The man said, “Well, if he’s telling the truth and he was out on that boat with a beautiful girl for 3 days and nothing happened, he’s too damned stupid to be President.”
