I see the baggers are already pointing the finger at Muslim extremists. Could be, but it could just as easily be a bagger psycho. Fringe baggers tend to see the military, especially the National Guard, as a primary component of Obama’s glacially slow plan to confiscate guns and round up Christians for deportation to FEMA camp. Google “Oath Keepers.”

There’s an element that assumes any shooting is jihadi until proven otherwise. They also believe, firmly, that any crime committed by a Muslim is an act of jihad or an honor killing, and any suggestion that a specific crime doesn’t fit those patterns is seen as pure treacherous naivete. (Pam Geller loves this stuff—no one can convince her that Muslim teenagers who aren’t jihadis sometimes set of fireworks in empty lots because they’re bored and stupid, this being the primal nature of teenagers.)

Conveniently, all the times it wasn’t a Muslim, and, given the odds, that’s mostly, are forgotten, so that each time we wake up again in a magical new world where anyone suggesting that non-Muslims sometimes shoot people is a dhimmi sucker.
