My objection is to the moral bullshit that Scott Walker is playing on, trying to convince people that by donating to his campaign they will be bringing their children more long term good than by giving kids a gift under the tree now. Extra bonus moral bullshit if the children in question are girls, because the Republican platform is incredibly anti-woman. It’s playing on the desire of low-information voters to give their children a better life without actually intending to do anything along those lines, just to make the world better for rich white men.

Is that “crooked” in the general sense? Probably not, in that the money will have a trail for campaign finance records. Is it morally bankrupt? Hell yes.
