My kid has nearly 3000 CDs. He buys them because he lost his entire music library a few years ago to some tech glitch and had to reload all his music again. Some of the digital stuff just went poof never to return. He’s also a tad obsessed and likes collecting something he can physically see and hold in his hands. He gets a lot of his stuff from online discount places that sell used CDs or from amazon shops and other sellers overseas.
