Well it happened. My “smartphone” is smarter than I am.

At about 6:30 I heard a beep and found TRAFFIC ALERT on my console. When I tapped it, it suggested leaving early for “WORK” because “25 minutes added to your ETA”

I never had TRAFFIC ALERTS before so I just swiped it away and left at my usual time.

There was a huge traffic jam because of a road accident and it did take 25 minutes longer than usual.

I have “HOME” and “WORK” set as destinations on my phone and in the SYNC console of my vehicle. The phone knows when it is connected to the SYNC console. So the little bastard was conspiring with SYNC to verify road conditions on the route that I take to work every day.

This has weirded me out.
