hope all goes well. My youngest stepson (and only surviving stepchild, the others died from cancer, as did their mother and both grandmothers) just had a CT scan that revealed a 6cm tumor on/near one of his kidneys. He’s fortunate that he is a 100% disabled vet after 20+ years in the USAF, and lives next door to Wright-Patterson, so has access to great (and free) healthcare. That said, we’re worried because 6cm is kinda big…

Thanks. Under 4 cm is best, but under 7 cm is still apparently considered on the small side. (Both sound enormous to me, but that’s what I’ve read.) On the kidney is better than in the kidney because it’s easier to remove. The big question is whether there has been any spread, or if it is just the one tumor.
