Best I can do in terms of historic milestones I saw in person was David Ortiz getting his first home run with the Red Sox back in ‘03 or Trevor Hoffman tying Lee Smith’s all-time saves record.

I was there in Cincy when Pete Rose (mgr/player) got poked in the eye by umpire Dave Pallone and then tossed for pushing Pallone. The ensuing 1 hour delay of people throwing crap on the field after he tossed Rose was top-notch entertainment.
