Rugged individualism and Laissez-faire economics are some of the loudest talking points in the GOP. If you chose to embrace those ideals, then you should be glad that your father’s business failed because it was at the hands of the free market.

This statement does not imply what it is that I believe.

Allow me to clarify. Ayn Rand’s dream of rugged individualism and Laissez-faire economics are flawed philosophies. Each instance of their attempted implementation has been an embarrassing failure. Even Ayn Rand was a lousy capitalist who would often choose low profit margins in exchange for dissemination of her words.

You would do well to argue more than one side of an issue to better understand opposing perspective. You might even learn to be dynamic and independent instead of a flag waving ideologue.

Because it’s just embarrassing to hear you try to rationalize your position right now.
