So I kind of shit the bed here earlier today for bringing up the B-man. My apologies for that as it came damn close to violating my New Year’s resolution to myself to not relitigate the shitshow of 2016 we call the most admirable Democratic process on earth.

To make up for it, here’s a picture of the dinner I’m making…at Thanksgiving, we’d bought a bacon-wrapped boneless turkey stuffed with sausage from this French butchery in San Francisco. Very nice, but also a bit pricey. My wife came home for New Year’s eve with a couple of nice dry aged Cote de Boeufs - about 2lbs each - one of which we gave to friends as a hostess gift for their hosting New Year’s morning bagels and lox flown in from NYC, and a package of the stuffing that was in the Thanksgiving bird. As I was leaving for work I said, “What do you want to do with that stuffing?” She said, “I’m not sure.” and I said, “Let’s get a turkey leg, we’ll debone it, and make our own little roti. I came home to a turkey leg, which I deboned, stuffed, and wrapped with bacon and…voila!

No hard feelings, I hope. I really am trying to turn over a new leaf and put the last year in the dumpster-fire of history where it belongs.
