re: #24 ObserverArt

I just finished setting up my new Amazon Fire TV with my new choice to go with ATT DirecTV Now streaming service and if it works as good as it looks right now, Imma be real happy with this.

Amazing how easy it all was. Biggest problem was entering all my passwords for Amazon and ATT.

Then I hooked up the audio out using the digital out and damn, even the sound is nice and natural.

Hopefully I can call Spectrum (Charter/Former Time Warner) and tell them where they can put their service they just raised my price by 33%!

That is all.

Oh, yeah, the Fire TV wifi unit was free along with a free week on DirecTV on a special I managed to get about 20 minutes before it expired.

The Fire TV can be handy for other stuff now too. And it is voice activated. Look out…time to leave cable behind…I hope. Fingers crossed.

I did close to the same thing. I’m hanging out in the same house my Dad was in before he died recently. He was spending 260 bucks a month for freakin satellite and internet. I didn’t even know there was such a thing as DirectvNow. But a couple weeks ago, I stumbled across it on the internet. So I now have a 40 dollar internet connection through AT&T and a 5 dollar a month promotional Now package, with a 5 dollar a month HBO package (pretty sure that’s the best HBO price out there). I use a Firestick on the big t.v. and it works flawlessly. Would it be nice if I still could use a remote with numbers on it, rather than having to flip through the channel guide to get back and forth between stuff? Sure. Would it be worth 200 bucks to do that? No.
