Yes! The US did not arm Saddam. In fact the US armed Iran, that is why they called it “Iran-Contra”, not “Iraq-Contra”.

When the USA fought Saddam in the gulf war, they came up against Russian, French, and Chinese arms…. not “made in the USA”.
