That’s just so sad, and what really is an injustice to the poor man killed, is that the driver who hit him was sentenced to 18 years in prison in 1992! Now that means he should still be behind bars, not out on the street killing people

OK, I’m outraged by this crap. In particular:

Nelson remained in a hospital Wednesday where he was being treated for head injuries.

Police determined he was under the influence of drugs at the time of the wreck, according to an affidavit. Investigators have not released any drug-analysis results.

Officers were seen removing empty alcoholic beverage containers from Nelson’s Saturn.

Nelson’s family said Wednesday that he was not taking illicit drugs, but was taking a generic anxiety medication to help him deal with the recent death of his mother. The medicine apparently caused him to nod off behind the wheel, said his niece, Ulunda Lewis.

“He just went to sleep,” she said. “What happened was a terrible thing. We are deeply sorry.”

Nelson, who has a lengthy criminal record, had been released from a state facility for parole violators on Friday. He was sentenced in 1992 to 18 years in prison on a drug conviction.

Who the f*ck is paying this scumbag’s medical bills? Toss his sorry, murdering ass onto the sidewalk, preferably head first out of a 5th story window.

Let me guess—niece Ulunda ain’t picking up the tab for his treatment.
