re: #116 vxbush

So we are agreed that while parents (or lack thereof) can play a part in the mental health of a child, there must come a point when the child becomes an adult and should move past the problems of the past. It’s not easy and requires a lot of introspection, but it should be done.

Now: Does Obama show any indication that he is introspective? If his books are to be trusted, I would say “yes,” given that he has looked at his past. But he does not seem to be able to let go of his past. That makes me think he really isn’t a grown-up yet. He hasn’t learned to take responsibility for his own choices.

Is that accurate?

I could be introspective if someone paid me an advance of 6 of 7 figures. The question is does he reflect on his actions now in light of his psychological past? Does he do it privately at all or does he just do it for money?
