He’s the wrong guy to make the point, but it’s a valid point. Benghazi is totally made-up nonsense bullshit, with no actual blame attaching to Obama at all—in fact, blame going to the GOP for cutting funding for embassy security.

With Bush’s record during Vietnam, it’s clear that he—like many others—got a soft assignment and didn’t treat it that seriously, skipping out on it to go campaign, and there’s very legitimate questions about whether or not he actually served as he should. I don’t think that whether he served as he should is that important a question, but it’s not a totally made up, fictitious, nutso issue the way Benghazi is.

It helps to read beyond the headlines.
