A teacher - and we are talking about school teachers of course - doesn’t perform research in his capacity as a teacher. He may do this in his free time, and has academic freedom as an individual, but he may not present unapproved ideas in class.

Thus, teaching “arguments against evolution” in class (unless this is specified in the curriculum) is not an allowed “academic freedom”.

A teacher may, however, explore and publish such ideas in his free time. If he has a tenure, he cannot be punished for this extracurricular activity.

That didn’t answer my question. I asked “Is it your position that teachers below the college level should not have tenure?”.
