While going out to grab lunch, I heard a bit of Terry Gross’s interview with Bob Woodward, author of “Fear”, a new book on the Trump Administration. There was one thing especially that struck me, and on which I’d like to comment:

It’s NUCLEAR!!! NU-CLE-AR!!! NOT “Nukular”!!

There’s no such thing as an atomic NUKULUS, for gods sake!! What the hell? Can’t people READ?!?

IIRC it was Eisenhower who popularized the cringeworthy mispronounciation.
