Actually, whether on vacation or not doesn’t matter. The child would qualify for dual citizenship, if her mother applied, if she is born in the US. This I know from my experience with Operation Sea Signal in Cuba. The Cubans and Haitians waiting in the camps would do anything to get to the US to have the baby…induce labor by jumping off high things, inserting coat hangers, injuring themselves including burning themselves…you name it. For the Cubans it was double win because as soon as they set foot on American soil they could stay. Special rules. Didn’t seem fair then, still doesn’t.
