Would it mollify anyone if I mentioned that I am against any kind of legislation regarding abortion? Actually, I don’t care so much about people’s feelings about me but I do care that most commenters missed the point I was making.

And look at the nastiness of most of the comments. I fear for this country. There is incredible hatred out there in this community as well as the “other side”.

Someone wanted some constructive ideas? Okay, let’s start with suggesting some points for discussion:

Resolved:
1. Anti-abortion legislators are not necessarily wing-nuts. Don’t treat them like that.
2. Pro-abortion legislators are not the anti-christ. Don’t treat them that way.

Can you give me an anti-abortion argument that beasts the “Violinist Argument” that a child has no legal right to use its mothers organs without their permission?

Because if you can’t I don’t see why we should treat people who make poorly thought out arguments with respect even if they do it with good intentions….
