Namely, they can expel Moore, the Alabama governor can then name a replacement (obviously a Republican) for a two-year term, which would be enough time to establish himself to win the the next upcoming election in 2020.

It’s not like Moore’s ever been expelled from something but elected again. //

I see him running in 2020 if this happens.
