I’m just gonna throw this out there…

If a person who was for all intents and purposes neutral in the political debate described Mrs. Obama as “Uppity”, and we could reasonably expect that person to both have planned their statement (i.e. the use was not an accident or slip of tongue) as well as have a clear knowledge of the racist undertones of the word, would the reaction been the same?

I think we are calling it out because the bias we put on Rush. We think he is a racist so therefore he meant “uppity” as a racist slur. If we asked Rush “why did you use that word”, absolutely no answer would get him out of our first assumption. If Mr. John Doe had made the same statement, we would accept any explanation and settle with it. You say, well yes, Rush is a racist.

Why bother posting that Rush said A B or C at all? Just have a running article every day “Sun Rises, Rush is a racist”.
