A friend of mine’s wife gave birth on the sidewalk the other day, and the EMTs were really freaked out— it was their first. They didn’t really know how to fill out the paperwork. They asked if they could take pictures to document stuff. Including of the placenta. It was all rather surreal, apparently.

I was present at the birth of all three of my children. Without complications it’s rather natural. Women seem to know what to do
