It has to suck when one of the core things your election campaign was banking on to help win the election doesn’t pan out. Romney was counting on increasing unemployment. And the numbers will get worse for him as well, as the state by state results get shared in the coming week. Several of the battleground swing states have some of the best employment numbers they’ve seen in five years.

I remember reading that at one point, they wanted surrogates from the battleground states with improving economic numbers to be hush hush about about it because it ruined their narrative.
