No, it wasn’t. If you look at what was contained in Charles’ post at the head of the last thread, it wasn’t anything about the shooter’s persuasian, it was about Palin’s target map. From the beginning of this conversation, I— and most others— have been focusing on the rhetoric of violence coming from the right.

You are completely dodging this point; I can only assume this is because you have no actual answer for it and would prefer to ignore the rhetoric of violence and dehumanization that’s been coming from the right.

Gifford wasn’t ignoring it. Gifford was calling it out.


“They really need to realize that the rhetoric and firing people up, and, you know, even things for example, we’re on Sarah Palin’s targeted list, but the thing is, that the way that she has it depicted has the crosshairs of a gunsight over our district. When people do that, you gotta realize there’s consequences to that action.”
