Just posted a piece that contains a bit of rumination on my part.

Maybe - JUST MAYBE - the flip-flop and outcry on DACA are all part of a plan to try to immunize Trump to the growing coverage of his racist, white-supremacist actions. Could he be doing this, flexing on DACA, only to be stopped by Congress, to defuse everything - and the condemnations by all his formers lovers & allies are nothing more than smokescreen?

If so … then it could play out this way: Trump is denounced by the Star Wards Cantina Bar of right-wing racist villains, thus endearing him to “moderate” Brown People. The midterm elections thus don’t get the tidal wave of furious Latino/black/gay/feminist voters, and the GOP gets to hang onto the House and Senate, allowing him to fill Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s seat.

Is he capable of such Machiavellian plotting?

Or is he just the dog chasing the car?

Not that smart to think ahead.

He’s just a white supremacist who doesn’t think he’s a white supremacist. He’ll do stuff that’s subsurface noise, that’s doesn’t rise to fire siren levels of racism.
