Before you “support” my comment, let me clarify something. First, I’m an atheist, so I have no “religious” dog in this fight.

Second, I am not for a total ban on abortion. Allowing abortions for medical reasons in regards to the mother and rapes of very young girls is fine with me.

But abortion for birth control, which is the only other reason left, no, no way.

Same here…from religious point of view. Jonah Goldberg has a great essay explaining a non-religious rationale for opposing abortion.

It doesn’t take religion to decide that murder is wrong—so the question is when does life begin? I’m with Jonah in answering that I really cannot say I know, but hey, out of an excess of caution, let’s just try to be sure we aren’t murdering, eh?
