Yeah. Even going through the Donner Pass. Looks pretty scarred around there. Plenty of erosion. Kind of depressing IMO. Maybe because it was overcast.

In 1972 my family did a road trip from California to Illinois (minus Dad—it was the Summer of the Divorce). We had Mom (the only driver) 7 kids and a dog in a VW bus. We picked up hitchhikers as a diversion. When we got to Donner Pass, we had two guys from Montana with us. The jokes about “guests for lunch at Donner Pass” still have not died.
