Please cite where the bankruptcy law states that if a manufacturer goes into protection the government can seize the assets of an independent distributor?

You can’t have it both ways. A few months back, I recall conservatives suggesting letting Chrysler and GM fail, regardless of the job and dealer looses. Now, the government is working to save some jobs and dealers and we’re complaining about the dealer looses to be profitable.
I don’t know what private assets have been siezed.
