Clamshell lighting. Looks like an octabank key up top, softbox fill below. Very nicely done.

Ya beat me to it. Very flattering lighting, especially with women, and he still looks like 10 miles of bad road. I’ve done it with a single shoot-through and a reflector mounted just out of frame on the bottom.
