Speaking of which, I noticed that yesterday was the second anniversary of Trump’s disapproval rating going over 50%, on Nate Silver’s aggregate of polls. He’s never been lower since, and currently sits at close to 54% disapproval. So all the talk about how nothing sticks to Trump and he’s some kind of political genius with his finger on the pulse of the nation is nonsense. It takes spectacular incompetence to turn the lowest unemployment rates of the century into a 54% disapproval rating.

Trump only retained the Senate because of the map. He’s not a genius or understands the nation. He’s been lucky.
