re: #123 Targetpractice

Biggest issue for Repubs who are gonna spend the weekend declaring that this was the greatest move by a president in their lives: Most Americans didn’t know who Soleimani was before yesterday, but they do know that they don’t want to go to war with Iran. So the messaging on this is going to be mostly explaining to the American people why they should be thrilled that this guy is dead, but why they shouldn’t worry that his death means war with Iran.

And, as the saying goes, if you’re explaining then you’re losing.

It’s definitely not going to be an unifying event like Trump and his cronies are gonna want it to be. It was a reckless move that ignored the law and could start something far worse than whatever Soleimani would if he lived.
