Thank you, Jim Hoft, for perpetrating the notion that rape ‘ruins’ women, and letting Lara Logan in on the scoop about her recovery.

What a tool.

Might be nice if he pointed out as Frederick Douglas did: “Slavery is as insidious to the slave as it is to the slaveholder.”

I consider rape to be slavery.

You’d think that a (I assume, “Christian”) man might want to discourage rape by also pointing out what it does to the soul of the rapist. I couldn’t imagine having to make amends or forgive myself for committing such a crime.

Focusing on the women, like in prostitution or absentee fathers, takes all the attention from the man. The societal blame goes to the woman.
