So now Spike Lee is retweeting the threatening tweets he got for retweeting an incorrect address that caused uninvolved people to get threats.

This issue has become really bizarre.

I saw an interview earlier with the Martin’s lawyer. Entirely reasonable woman. She said she had no idea whether Zimmerman is a racist - but that it’s clear that he was profiling Martin. She was saying that he should be arrested and an investigation should be carried out. She was disturbed that the video seems to contradict what has been said about Zimmerman’s and the police account of the events.

What’s fascinating about this is that despite all the frigthtwing mouth-frothing, the primary figures on the Martins’ side all seem to be consistently classy.

I’m thoroughly disgusted at the chorus of outrageous outrage about Obama. Let this all serve as evidence for those who wish to claim that racism isn’t still a prominent attribute of American culture. We have a long fucking way to go.

Spike Lee needs to STFU and STFD on that major fuckup he made, compensate that retired couple that get terrorized out of their home over his ill-advised tweets, and zip his lip for a while.
