It’s possible to be “intelligent” and still be an idiot. By some accounts Cruz is “intelligent,” but he still mouthed off about Galileo while obviously knowing nothing about him. That’s the mark of an intelligent idiot.

Sort of like how Ben Carson is a trained neurosurgeon but says some of the most mind-numbingly ignorant bullshit when it comes to politics.
