Just because it didn’t work in 1978 doesn’t mean it wasn’t exactly the right approach to take to the problem. The writer of that article would do well to remember that you can make all the right moves and shit will sometimes still hit the fan. That’s just how it goes.

That doesn’t mean it wasn’t the right thing to do. It just didn’t work out.
