Gah. I’m trying to remember my Unix - wouldn’t you have to interrupt the kernal to preclude the password prompt? (I’ve been out of the business for going on 6 years)
No, I know nothing about Unix, but I do know you can write scripts (programs) for Unix, so, as a programmer, I can make these assumptions.
Let’s say you type “login walt.” I’m sure you can customize “walts” login script to, lets say run a script, BEFORE IT PASSES THE PASSWORD TO THE KERNAL.
Combine with what I was saying above, that’s seems to me to be one way. I was only jumping in with a possible answer, just based on my 30 years of IT experience. I may be off base.
