The problem in a nutshell is that 35% of America is just plain stupid.

Oh, I’m sure some of them can do well enough on a standardized test, but they lack the simple ability to reason. I don’t know whether that’s because there’s something that doesn’t work in their brains, or they weren’t taught to do so, or simply find it easier not to. But it’s a real, serious problem.

And now, they’ve finally elected a President as stupid as they are, who’s dumb enough to say the stupid things they want to hear.
