I wonder if the town of Bethlehem is of any importance to the Pope. In 1998, its inhabitants were 85% Christian. By 2005, Christians accounted for only 20% of the population, as a result of violent, systematic ethnic cleansing carried out by the town’s Muslims, as well as the far-lower birth rate of Arab Christians compared to that of Arab Muslims.
