Books make good Christmas gifts, provided they are well chosen.

Of course ‘well chosen’ can be a relative thing, as my dad demonstrated in a couple years ago when he gave a Progressive aunt of mine a copy of Stanley Kurtz’s Radical in Chief. Sometimes my dad can be a bit impish. So can I, and I know where I get it from. >:D

Another example might be sending Ted Cruz a copy of The Wealth of Nations and then waiting for him to freak out upon finding out that Adam Smith was not a libertarian.
